Actor-filmmaker
Kamal Haasan, who is currently shooting in Kerala for
Tamil thriller
Papanasam, said on Thursday that he wasn't injured while shooting as is being speculated, and that "all is well" with him.
"Before various new ailments are endowed upon me, I hasten to clarify that all is well. It is not true that I was injured while shooting," Kamal said in a statement.
"It was a makeup rubber prosthetic that slipped into my nasal passage and had to be carefully removed under medical supervision.
It was a stunt scene so I had simulated injuries on the face," he said.
The rumour circulated after the actor was rushed to a hospital "with a bruised face (and that) led to the interpolated news. I am alright."
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, Papanasam is the Tamil remake of
Malayalam blockbuster
Drishyam. The actor has recently completely the shoot of
Kannada actor-director's Tamil film
Uttama Villain.
