COMEDK PGET 2015: Eligibility Criteria

COMEDK PGET 2015 held for admission into postgraduate (PG) medical and dental courses in Comedk member institutes will take place on Sunday, February 02, 2015, in the city of Bangalore only, according to the website. The test provides admission to students in post graduate courses of medical/dental in its 12 medical and 19 dental institutions.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates from all over India can appear for the entrance examination. The eligibility criteria for PG degree/diploma programs are as follows:

Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India (MCI/DCI)

Applicants should have passed their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery/Bachelor of Dental Surgery (MBBS/BDS) from a MCI/DCI recognized institute

Applicants should have completed or be completing their internship latest by Thursday, April 30, 2015

The minimum percentage of marks in the Comedk PGET 2015 will be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40 per cent for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or SC, Scheduled Tribe or ST (all India) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) categories belonging to the state of Karnataka

Candidates should have obtained permanent registration with the MCI/DCI or any of the state Medical/Dental Council

A candidate already holding a PG degree in any specialty is not allowed to appear for Comedk PGET 2015. Moreover, a candidate who is pursuing a PG degree/diploma in any clinical specialty after securing the seat through Comedk in the earlier years is also not permitted to write the test

Candidates having selected a seat earlier through Comedk and failed to join the college selected or failed to surrender the said seat at the Comedk level or having joined the college failed to pursue the course are not permitted to appear for the test

Candidates who have been debarred by Comedk during the previous years are not allowed to appear for Comedk PGET 2015
