PSL Team of the Week

Cape Town - Following the conclusion of the midweek encounters, Sport24 chooses the PSL Team of Week.  

Orlando Pirates, Bidvest Wits and SuperSport United all dropped points in somewhat surprising defeats while Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs were left ruing missed opportunities as both clubs were held to 1-1 draws. 

Ajax Cape Town bounced back after their defeat to the Amakhosi with a 2-1 win over Platinum Stars at the Cape Town Stadium while Bloemfontein Celtic continue their surge up the PSL table with a 2-1 victory over AmaTuks.

This week’s team sees the 4-3-3 formation being introduced even though Kermit Erasmus failed to hit the back of the net, the forward put in an inspiring 90 minutes in their defeat at the hands of Mpumalanga Black Aces.
