Lakshmi idol at Tanishaa’s home bears resemblance to her grandma Shobhna Samarth

Tanishaa and Tanuja will be celebrating Lakshmi Puja at their residence today and joining them on the occasion will be Kajol and Ajay Devgn, his parents and the Mukerji family.
The mother-daughter duo has been religiously celebrating the puja for years now. And what’s truly interesting is that the face of the Lakshmi idol, which is placed in the temple in their house, is actually modelled on the late Shobhna Samarth.“It’s a 50-year-old statue and was designed in such a way that it bears a strong resemblance to the family matriarch,” a friend of the Mukerjis revealed.

Of course, it will be a double celebration this year as Tanishaa and Tanuja will also launch their production house on this auspicious occasion.
