New Forest murder: Two arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder a 47-year-old woman in Hampshire.

Penelope Davis, was discovered stabbed to death in a field where she had been tending to her horses at Leygreen Farm, Beaulieu, on 2 September.

The 22-year-old man and 28-year-old woman, both from the New Forest, remain in custody.

The man has also been arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.

Justin Robertson, 36, of no fixed address, has been charged with Mrs Davis's murder and was remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 18 December.

Leanne Doyle, 24, of Beech Crescent, Hythe, has been charged with assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice and will appear at court on the same day.

A further four people are on bail after being arrested as part of the investigation.
