Hero MotoCorp opens fourth plant in India at Neemrana, RJ

Hero MotoCorp, India's largest manufacturer of two-wheelers has inaugurated a new factory. Located at Neemrana in Rajasthan, it is the company's fourth plant in the country.

The plant has been set up with initial investment of Rs. 1,050 crore and has the capacity to roll out 7,50,000 units annually. The facility also has the capability of building high-end two-wheelers in future if required.

Hero MotoCorp's other plants are located at Gurgaon and Dharuhera in the state of Haryana and Haridwar in Uttarakhand. These three plants have a total annual production capacity of 6.9 lakh units. With the addition of the Neemrana plant, the company's total installed capacity has reached 7.65 million units.

Hero MotoCorp is also setting up two new factories in the country - one in Gujarat and one Andhra Pradesh. The company is also setting up plants in Columbia and Bangladesh and the Hero Global Centre for research and design in Kukas, Rajasthan. The company has planned an investment of Rs. 5,000 crore for the setting up of the new facilities.

The company has plans to surpass a cumulative production of 100 million units by 2020.
