The police have identified the victims of fire cracker blast in Nalgonda town as Raghavala Narasimha Rao, (60 years) and V. Kalyan (20 years).

The two were customers, who had come to the shop of B. Srinivas, who had stored fire crackers in his residence for sale. The trader had not obtained any licence or permission to stock fire crackers. He owns a kirana shop in which he had also kept huge quantity of crackers.

Police maintained that the fire crackers went up in flames due to short circuit. Srinivas and his wife Krishnaveni escaped unhurt while Narasimha Rao and Kalyan died on the spot. Another person, Poshetty Dhananjay, sustained grievous injury and is admitted into the District headquarters hospital.

A case has been registered against the trader.
