By Mohammad Al-Mola

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Fahad Al-Dhafiri has discussed with a foreign ministry official means of cementing ties between the two countries.
Al-Dhafiri, in a telephone contact with KUNA, said he delivered an invitation to visit Kuwait by His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, addressed to Brunei's Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, during his meeting with the Protocol and Consular Affairs Director, Rakiah Haji Abd Hamid.
The ambassador added that he also held a meeting with the Chairman of the Legislative Council, Isa Bin Ibrahim, conveying an identical invitation from Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem to his counterpart in Brunei.
Such a visit by the chief legislator to Kuwait will be the first of its kind in history of the two countries' relations.
The Brunei Heir Apparent, Al-Muhtadee Billah, visited Kuwait last March. During the visit, the two sides agreed on boosting cooperation at the business and financial levels.
The Kuwait-Brunei commission is scheduled to hold the second session in Kuwait, on November 23-24. The planned meeting is forecast to conclude with signing a MoU for investment cooperation, in addition to a proposal, made by the Brunei Crown Prince, during his visit to Kuwait, to set up a KD 100 million joint investment fund.
