Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin, who missed the last three games with sprained ankles, has played tonight against the Phoenix Suns at the Honda Center.

Lakers Coach Byron Scott said earlier that Lin would come off the bench and that Ronnie Price would continue to start in place of Steve Nash.

Lin hadn’t played for the Lakers since their second exhibition game, on Oct. 9 against the Golden State Warriors.

“He’s going to have to come in tonight and get his feet wet again,” Scott said. “And then we’ll go from there.”

Scott said Nash missed his third consecutive game because of a “tingly feeling” in his back that the 40-year-old has felt since pulling himself out of a game against Golden State on Oct. 12.

Nash played in just 15 games last season, missing most of them because of recurring nerve damage in his back.

The Lakers play the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night in Ontario, but Scott wasn’t sure if Nash would play.

“He’s just not ready right now,” Scott said.
