Lavu iPad POS partners with Staples for restaurant bundle availability

Lavu Inc. has partnered with Staples Inc. to offer its restaurant POS for purchase on Staples.com. The single-terminal hardware bundle ships with cash drawers, printers, card swipers and iPad enclosures, as well as instructions for all downloads of the Lavu POS software for iPad.

According to a news release, the bundles are used as POS terminals for food and beverage ordering and checkout. Included with each Lavu software license is a business management suite to manage menus, inventory, labor scheduling and sales reports. Lavu provides cloud-based scheduling and real-time reports and there is no upfront fee for the Lavu 88 software recommended for these bundles.

"These packages are aimed at restaurant owners who, when they do shop online for business equipment, tend to stick with trusted brands and outlets like Staples," Josh Bennett, VP of Business Development, said in a news release. "The plan is to get Lavu in front of business owners who may not have yet considered the iPad as a viable point-of-sale and management software solution for their business."
