QC movie tickets up by P1 in Nov., Jan., Feb.

MANILA, Philippines–For three months, moviegoers in Quezon City will be charged an additional P1 which will go to the programs and projects of three national organizations.
Mayor Herbert Bautista, chair of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Quezon City Council, earlier signed three ordinances imposing the P1 hike in movie tickets in November, January and February. Proceeds from the November collection will benefit the Philippine Red Cross.
In January, the beneficiary will be the BSP followed the next month by the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP).
Councilor Godofredo Liban II introduced the ordinance increasing the movie theater admission fee for January to benefit the BSP.
He said the organization needed the assistance for its various programs and projects geared toward the moral, spiritual and physical wellbeing and civic consciousness of the youth.
Councilor Dorothy Delarmente, on the other hand, authored the ordinance donating the increase in February to the GSP for the same reason.
Councilor Franz Pumaren was the one who proposed that the proceeds from the P1 hike to be imposed in November go to the Red Cross for its disaster relief operation and humanitarian services in Quezon City. Erika Sauler
