The Beast 980, Jim Rome to Launch Clippers Season


All Sports KFWB-AM (The Beast 980)/Los Angeles will ring in the 2014-15 L.A. Clippers season with a special live broadcast featuring Jim Rome and Fred Roggin outside Staples Center on Thursday, October 30 from noon until 7pm, prior to the home opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Fans will be able to meet The Beast 980 personalities at the station's broadcast stage outside the main Staples Center entrance.

The Beast 980's Clippers' insider coverage kicks off with "The Fred Roggin Show" from noon-3pm followed by "The Drive," hosted by Brett Winterble and former NFL tight end George Wrighster from 3-6:30pm. Rome will make his way up to Staples Center for a special appearance as co-host from 4-6:30pm.

Special guests throughout the broadcast will include former Clipper and UCLA star Marques Johnson and Jeanne Zelasko, co-hosts of "The Home Team" on The Beast 980, L.A.'s only local morning show, plus the longtime Voice of the Clippers, Ralph Lawler and other surprises.
