Arbroath moved eight points clear of Queen's Park at the top of Scottish League Two with an away win over Annan.
The visitors broke the deadlock in 11 minutes when Simon Murray teed-up Dylan Carreiro who found the bottom corner.
The Galabankies came into their first home game in five boasting a seven-game unbeaten run and could have levelled through Michael McAnespie, but David Crawford parried his shot.
And Arbroath held steady to create a comfortable gap over the Spiders.
