Sinister Jamaat plot to topple Hasina government revealed

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has stumbled upon a sinister plot to topple the Sheikh Hasina government in Bangladesh by the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen-Bangladesh (JmB) terrorists hiding in West Bengal.

The NIA and the West Bengal CID have now widened their investigations into the October 2 blast in Burdwan, West Bengal. The blast resulted in the death of two suspected Jamaat terrorists, while they were making improvised explosive devices to be smuggled into Bangladesh, through the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Top sources in the Indian Home Ministry have told that Bangladesh has officially informed that two convicted terrorists are hiding in West Bengal and even shared information of their location in Burdwan and their movement to Dubri. The suspected militants planned to carry out blasts across Bangladesh, to topple the incumbent Sheikh Hasina government.

Dhaka is also carrying out a series of raids to detain elements that may have escaped across the border after the October 2 blasts in Burdwan.
