Ukraine elections: 'The rebels beat me with guns'

Ukrainians go to the polls this weekend in a key parliamentary election, dominated by the ongoing military conflict in the east.

This week our correspondent Steve Rosenberg will be reporting from across Ukraine.

His first stop is in the east, where separatist rebels control some territory, but not the town of Sloviansk.

There he met a candidate who was persecuted by the rebels for supporting the Ukrainian army.
