CDC issues new guidelines to protect health care workers from Ebola

New Delhi/Dallas: The Centers for Disease Control on Monday issued new guidelines for health care workers treating Ebola patients.

The move was taken after two nurses were diagnosed with the deadly virus at a Dallas hospital this month.

The new guidelines, from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are posted on its website.

The new guidelines include:

-Use of personal protective equipments like gloves, face masks and other protective equipment to be used by a health worker.

-Proper training of health care workers as to how to put on and take off personal protective equipments before they come in contact with a patient.

-The guidelines also lay stress on proper screening of patients, limiting the number of staffers in isolation rooms and also to keep the encironment hygenic and clean.
