I usually buy silver, but this year, I am buying diamond. I will also buy a complete set of steel utensils as it is considered lucky. I have been celebrating Dhanteras since my childhood. My mother buys something new every year and now, I follow the tradition. The festival spreads positivity and prosperity.

I am going to wake up early, like every year, to perform a puja, after which I will head out to buy a few gold and silver coins.I am very religious and Bengalis consider this day auspicious for any kind of investment and gold tops the list. In the evening, I shall go Diwali puja shopping and buy fresh diyas. I will be buying silver idols of Lakshmi and Ganpati.
