A Framingham man broke into a Shawmut Terrace home on Saturday, but ran off when confronted by the woman who lives there, authorities said.MetroWest Daily News reported Monday that William Quinn, 60, accidentally went into the home because he was confused due to the lack of medication, his lawyer, David Levinson, told Judge David Cunis on Monday during Quinn's Framingham District Court arraignment.Quinn lives on Edgell Road, which is more than 3 1/2 miles from Shawmut Terrace.Prosecutor Jen Thompson said a woman who lives on Shawmut Terrace heard the doorknob on her front door rattling."She then heard someone coming up the stairs," said Thompson. "She thought it was her husband and she went to speak to him and as she did, she saw Mr. Quinn coming up the stairs."When Quinn saw the woman, he ran from the home. Police found him walking on Concord Street."Quinn stated he walked into the home accidentally because he thought it was his home," Thompson said.Police charged Quinn with breaking and entering during the day causing fear.Thompson asked Cunis to hold Quinn on $200 bail.Levinson said it was all a misunderstanding.Cunis instead more than doubled what Thompson requested, setting Quinn's bail at $500.Quinn is due back in court next month for a pretrial conference.

"She then heard someone coming up the stairs," said Thompson. "She thought it was her husband and she went to speak to him and as she did, she saw Mr. Quinn coming up the stairs."

When Quinn saw the woman, he ran from the home. Police found him walking on Concord Street.
"Quinn stated he walked into the home accidentally because he thought it was his home," Thompson said.

Police charged Quinn with breaking and entering during the day causing fear.

Thompson asked Cunis to hold Quinn on $200 bail.

Levinson said it was all a misunderstanding.

Cunis instead more than doubled what Thompson requested, setting Quinn's bail at $500.

Quinn is due back in court next month for a pretrial conference.
