No decision yet on water supply
PUNE: Residents of Pimpri Chinchwad will have to wait for few more days to get twice a day water supply as the municipal corporation will be taking a decision on the issue next week.
Speaking to mediapersons on Monday, municipal commissioner Rajeev Jadhav said: "The civic administration will review the water supply situation before deciding on twice a day water supply." We are giving maximum water to the citizens and I the corporators have been informed about it, he added.

Earlier, at the general body meeting, corporators had demanded that twice a day water supply should be restarted. At the meeting, Jadhav agreed to meet the corporators in his office.
In July, rains were delayed and this caused major water scarcity. While the city had earlier been receiving twice a day water supply, the municipal corporation implemented water cuts from July 24 onwards. The corporators have demanded that twice a day water supply should be started because of good rains. The Pavana dam, which is the only source of water, was filled to its capacity in August.
