The Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University administration has finalised the names of students who will be getting medals in the convocation scheduled to be held on November 1.

KANPUR: The Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University administration has finalised the names of students who will be getting medals in the convocation scheduled to be held on November 1. The list of names of the students getting the medals was finalised on Saturday. The decision in this regard was taken by the medal committee of the university on Friday and the executive committee of the university which met on Saturday further confirmed the decision taken by the medal committee.
The overall topper of the university is Monika Singh, a student of MA (music) in Dayanand Girls' Postgraduate College. She will be getting the Chancellor's gold medal. She will also be awarded Chancellor's silver and bronze medals and also the vice-chancellor's gold medal along with other sponsored medals during the convocation ceremony. It was decided in the medal committee meeting that the name of the topper student would not be changed now. Meanwhile, the toppers of different faculties like arts, commerce and science will be given the vice-chancellor's gold medal. The toppers in their respective departments will also be awarded.
The students who will be getting the Chancellor's silver and bronze medals are Tayyab Fatima of A.N.D. College, Shruti Mishra of DG College, Anamika, Rekha Singh and Priya Singh Rathore of A.N.D. College and Pankaj Chaurasia of VSSD College. Princy Singh Gangawar of PPN College and Girija Devi of Mahila Vidyalaya will also be awarded. Shubra Dixit of VSSD College and Komal Gupta of Firoz Gandhi PG College, Rae Bareli, Pradeep Kumar and Atul Kumar of Janta Degree College, Etawah, will be given the Chancellor's silver medal. Several other students will be awarded the Chancellor silver and bronze medals.
The vice-chancellor's gold medals will be awarded to Monika Singh of DG College, Pawan Kumar of DAV College, Shubra Dixit of VSSD College, Pradeep Kumar of Janta Degree College, Amisha Mishra of ISBT, situated at university campus, Neha Sachdeva of Institute of
Business Management, also situated at university campus, Saurabh Talreja of University institute of Engineering technology and Parul Shukla.
