Police, students donate blood

On the eve of Police Commemoration Day, the Rajahmundry Urban Police organised blood donation camp on Monday in which 200 students and police donated blood in memory of police martyrs.

Urban SP Harikrishna inaugurated the camp by donating blood and led the police team. Additional SP Sarath Babu and DSP Namagiri Babji, Muralikrishna (East Zone), Prasanna (Traffic), Trinath, Inspectors Ramesh, Subrahmanyam, Satyanarayana and others donated blood during the camp which was organised by Kotipalli Srinivas of Sanjeevani Blood Donors’ Association.

K. Gangi Reddy, Director of Aditya Degree College and its NSS officer Nageswara Rao and RIET Engineering College English assistant professor Satish led students in donating blood. Students from Jasti Bullemma College for women also donated blood on the occasion. Dr. K. Satyavani, Medical Officer of Government Hospital, Kakinada, Dr. B. Sai Yesaswi, Dr. Lakshmi Manasi of Rangaraya Medical College conducted the camp under the supervision of Dr. M.V.R. Murthy, Municipal Health Officer, Rajahmundry.
