BHOPAL: Day after police booked the managing director of breakfast cereal major, Kellogg's India, after a judge in Satna district found a dead lizard in one of its product, officials of food and drug department launched a parallel probe.
Notices have been sent to the company, said sources. Additional district judge Shivakant Pandey lodged a complaint with civil lines police station in Satna, alleging that his servant took ill after consuming corn flakes of Kellogg's India.

A case has been registered under sections 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), section 272 (adulteration of food or drink intended for sale) and section 273 (sale of noxious food or drink) of IPC. Proprietor of shop that sold the product has been booked.
