Clint Dempsey and Lamar Neagle scored second half goals to give the Seattle Sounders a 2-2 draw with the LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

Baggio Husidic and Marcelo Sarvas scored for the Galaxy, but the Sounders' comeback means the Supporters' Shield will be awarded after Saturday's season finale between the clubs in Seattle.

The clubs share the MLS lead with 61 points, but the Sounders hold the tiebreaker and can claim their first MLS regular-season title with a win or draw.

Husidic scored in first-half injury time and Sarvas added a goal early in the second half, but Dempsey and Neagle struck just three minutes apart.

The Galaxy spent the evening honouring Landon Donovan, who will retire at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old has spent the past 10 seasons with the Galaxy.

At Harrison, New Jersey, Aaron Schoenfeld scored twice as the Columbus Crew beat the New York Red Bulls 3-1 to move in a third- place tie in the Eastern Conference.

The Crew moved two points ahead of the Red Bulls and into a tie with Sporting Kansas City.

The third seed gets a first-round bye in the playoffs, and all three teams remain in contention with one game left. Next Sunday, the Red Bulls visit Sporting KC, and Columbus hosts the Philadelphia Union.

Schoenfeld (17) opened the scoring and then made it 3-1 for the visitors 10 minutes from time.

Ethan Finlay added his 11th goal of the season in the 34th minute to give the Crew a 2-0 lead.

Lloyd Sam scored for New York in the 58th minute.
