Modi wave gets BJP historic win in Maharashtra, Haryana: Raje
JAIPUR: Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Sunday attributed BJP’s thumping win in Haryana and Maharashtra to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “magical personality and hard work” and said the curb on inflation was the reason behind the party’s historic performance in the two states.
“By bringing down the prices of petrol by Rs 9 and diesel by Rs 3.50 in less than six months, Narendra Modi government has effectively curbed inflation.
It was achieved within six months. It is just a trailer and people will see unprecedented development of the country as well as Rajasthan in coming days,” Raje said to party leaders and workers after the results of the assembly polls were out. She reached the BJP headquarters in Jaipur after returning from her Singapore visit.
She added that the day is not far when BJP will register similar spectacular win in Jharkhand and Bihar also. She also praised BJP national president Amit Shah’s decision to fight the elections in Haryana and Maharashtra independently.
“It would be a 'Congress-Mukt Bharat' (Congress free India) as BJP has started to sweep other states after coming to power in Delhi. This is just a trailer. In five years, Modi government would do miracles,” she claimed.
On the upcoming polls of civic bodies in 46 cities, Raje called upon workers and leaders to get united with mission 46 (victory in all cities).
Apprising about her Singapore visit, Raje said Singapore would come up in a big way for investment in major projects of the state in the near future and there would be a number of MoUs signed in next year's Resurgent Economic Conclave in the state.
“We have laid a foundation of a solid house in every sector in Rajasthan. It is not like that Rajasthan which made hollow houses. It is public's mandate and we have to pay their dues by welfare schemes and development of the state. We will abide by people's aspirations and faith,” she said.
