Sija Rose plays Prithviraj’s fiancee !

Set in the sixties, R S Vimal’s Ennu Ninte Moideen is based on the eternal love story of Moideen and Kanchanamala. Actress Sija Rose plays a bubbly girl Ameena Bichal, who is Moideen’s fiancee. “My scenes in the film are mostly with Prithviraj and Devi Ajith, who plays my mother. Though I have played Muslim characters before in Ustad Hotel and Entry, my look in this film is drastically different from those, she says.
The characters don the traditional Calicut attire of that period in the film, reportedly. While Prithviraj goes for a retro look complete with light blue eyes just like Moideen’s, Sija will sport old-world style rouka, mundu and thattam, complete with traditional jewellery. The actress is quite in love with her ethnic get-up and says the jewellery in particular has caught her fancy. “I am quite in love with the costumes and jewellery like the Kaasumaala,” she says.
The shooting is currently progressing at Shornur and like the other characters, Sija too will be delivering her lines in the regional dialect. “I was apprehensive initially about how comfortably I’ll speak in the Calicut dialect. However, I have managed well so far. I will also be dubbing for the character myself,” Sija says. Parvati, Tovino, Lena, Lal and Thalaivasal Vijay also play important characters in Ennu Ninte Moideen.
