Gun, ammo seized in Central Village operation

A joint operation carried out by members of the Mobile Reserve and the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) yesterday in Windsor Heights, Central Village, St Catherine resulted in the seizure of the following:
• One black handle shotgun
• Five 12 gauge cartridges
• Two M-16 magazines with twenty-nine 5.56mm rounds
• One M-16 magazine holster
• One ballistic vest
• One helmet
• Three knives
• Four cell phones
• One black USB 2.0 adaptor
• A pair of binoculars
• Small quantity of ganja
Reports from the Central Village Police are that about 4:30 p.m., a premises was searched and the items seized. Four men were taken into custody; they were processed and released.
Investigations continue.
