Piyush Mishra: Lisa is a saintly flamboyant girl

Piyush Mishra, who spent many months in Jaipur when he was shooting for 'Gulaal', was recently back in the city to promote 'The Shaukeens'. Surprised by the sudden showers and talking about his love for the city, he said, “I have been coming to Jaipur for many years since I have family friends here, but I've never spent as much time here as I did during Gulaal. That time left me with a lot of memories.Otherwise bhi, architecturally, zabardast jagah hai Jaipur."

Piyush plays an old man pursuing Lisa Haydon in 'The Shaukeens', and explained, “Sab hi tharki hote hain, har banda shaukeen hai, ismein kya buri baat hai? It's just that not everyone reveals that aspect of their personality .I had a lot of fun working on this movie, but the only tension I had was that I was working with Annu Kapoor and Anupam Kher. Main inn logon se bahut chhota hoon, even NSD ke hisaab se.One is seven years my senior and another is eight years my senior. But, of course, they supported me a lot."
About Lisa, he said. “Lisa is a saintly flamboyant girl. She doesn't know anything about acting and that's the greatest thing. She does everything so well. If an "NSD graduate would have done Queen, pachaas jagah atkalein padti. During The Shaukeens, she, in fact, helped us. Kabhi kabar NSD ka itna padha likha bhi pareshani de jaata tha. Yeh jo bojh tha mere sar pe ki main bahut bada actor hoon, NSD ka actor hoon, committed actor hoon, yeh sab bakwason se door hatkar film kari maine. A lot of people have this notion of NSD graduates that they're serious actors, but Piyush brushed that aside. “Nahi, yeh kya hai? Acting mein message kya khojna? Main kya post office hoon ki har cheez mein message doonga? Aadmi mera performance dekh ke soch raha hai yeh mujhe gawara nahi, hans raha hai ya ro raha hai, yeh mujhe gawara hai. I'd like to tell every NSD actor that there is nothing called intellectual acting. I'm really happy with the work I'm doing. It's just that some of my past performances were associated with names like Anurag Kashyap, so there was a tag with it. But he's also a very committed filmmaker, and Gulaal and Gangs Of Wasseypur gave me strong characters, but I know how people look at them," he said.
The actor had earlier said that he found it difficult to find a place for himself in Bollywood, but that seems to have changed now. He said, “I found that difficult because of myself, not because of anyone else, it was because of my nature and my ego.Jab se solitude talashna shuru kiya hai, it's become OK. Aisa isliye kiya taaki kam se kam sukoon se ji sakein, hamesha bojha paalke chalna ki main mahan actor hoon, yeh kya hai?Jis din yeh maan liya ki mujhse mahaan artistes bhi yahin hain, log apne aap mujhe mahan artiste manne lag gaye."
