JAMMU, Oct 17: Students of GD Goenka Public School, brought laurels for the school by winning three medals in 19th Junior National Kick Boxing Championship held at Balevadi, Pune in Maharashtra.
Seven students of the school participated in the championship out of which three emerged victorious and won medals.
Chowdhary Zulkar and Danish Kumar of class X each won one silver medal while Aqib Mughal of Class XI had to settle for a bronze medal after a rigorous and very challenging bout.
The students were escorted and coached by their experienced and National level referee, Danish Padha, who was also felicitated by the Maharashtra Kick Boxing Association. Danish Padha added another feather to his cap by being adjudged the best National Referee of the Tournament.
The principal of the school, Dr RP Singh lauded Danish Padha and team for putting up an excellent show and bringing laurels for the school.
