The indie college drama Cardinal X has rounded out its supporting cast to star alongside The Leftovers actress Annie Q.
The drama will feature Francesca Eastwood, Miss Golden Globe 2013 and the daughter of Clint, Pierson Fodé and Scott Keiji Takeda. Elisa Donovan, Ron Yuan, Aalyrah Caldwell, Yetide Badaki, Devon Libran and Noah Segan will play other roles.
The semi-autobiographical film from writer-director Angie Wang centers on a college student (Annie Q.) in the 1980s who becomes an expert in manufacturing and selling ecstasy. It’s Wang’s first film, and it’s produced by Richard Bosner (Fruitvale Station) with Cassian Elwes (Dallas Buyers Club) executive producing.

“We have both been very motivated to work with female filmmakers, but this particular screenplay’s vision of ’80s excess and alienation, and the way Angie imagines the pleasure and pain of her characters in it, quickly got our attention. We’re thrilled to be on her team,” the producers said in a statement.
Eastwood will play the roommate of the central character. Fodé will play a fraternity boy she dates and Takeda will play a shy classmate who has a crush on her.
Caldwell will portray the child of drug-addict parents, played by Badaki and Libran, for whom she cares through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Segan will play a nightclub owner with whom she forms a dangerous business partnership.
