Nellore: A day after cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar had met Prime minister Narendra Modi and expressed his desire to adopt a village under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, on Friday he chose
Putramrajuvari Kandriga in Nellore district for adoption. Nellore joint collector G. Rekha Rani confirmed it. According to the officials of the Nellore district administration, about 150 families reside at the village.
The district collector of Mumbai is already informed about it, said Ms Rekha Rani. Sources said, Sachin Tendulkar is likely to visit the village around November 16.
