A 45-year-old teacher of a private school in Idar has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing a 14-year-old girl student.

PALANPUR: A 45-year-old teacher of a private school in Idar has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing a 14-year-old girl student.
The complaint was filed against the teacher Vijay Shrimali of KM Patel Vidhyalaya on Thursday evening.
The girl's family saw some changes in her behaviour and grew suspicious. "On Thursday, she was adamant no to go to the school. When asked, she broke down and revealed that Shrimali had been harassing her," her father told police.
He has alleged that Shrimali allegedly offered to help her in all exams, including the SSC board exam, in return for sexual favours. He reportedly told her that she could leave the answer book blank and that he would do the needful, police said.
Shrimali is married and has two children. The girl studies in class IX.
Idar police station sub-inspector V P Kothiya said that investigation has started in the case but Shrimali did not turn up at the school on Friday.
