Student found hanging from ceiling fan in Cambrian College hostel
A Cambrian College student has been found hanging from a ceiling gan at one of the institution's hostels in Khilbarhi Tek at Dhaka's Bhatara in what police believe is a case of suicide.

The dead has been identified as the college's first-year student Jahidul Islam Raihan, 17, son of Sakher Ullah of Cox's Bazar.
He was the second among his parents' four children.
Bhatara Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Zulfikar Ali said Raihan's body was found hanging in room number 613 of the hostel's 'Pata Bhaban' on Friday morning.
He said they suspected Raihan committed suicide.
Hostel officials had called police after finding him hanging from the ceiling fan in that room.
Police, however, could not say what could have driven Raiha. to take his own life.
His body was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) later.
There, Raihan's uncle Helal Uddin told reporters that hostel officials found cigarettes on Raihan on Thursday and had threatened him saying that they would inform his father about this.
He said Raihan could have killed himself because he was probably scared of facing his father who had a very bad temper.
