Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan on October 2nd, a host of celebrities have taken it upon themselves to promote the cause of a cleaner India.
The likes of Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan and Sachin Tendulkar have responded to the PM’s call and wielded the jhaadu to clean a part of their respective cities, and in turn, nominate a couple of co-celebs to lead by example. Like businessman Anil Ambani, who cleaned a part of the street outside Church Gate station in Mumbai, and nominated Amitabh Bachchan, Mary Kom and Nagarjuna, among others, to take up the challenge.
Latest to join the list of celebs on a mission are Sania Mirza and actor Ravi Kishan.

I nominate @iamsrk @Riteishd @KTRTRS @DipikaPallikal @Pvsindhu1 @SomdevD @Abhinav_Bindra and Sajid Khan..Let’s make India a clean country..” (sic), tweeted the sports icon, while posting a video of her cleaning a street in Hyderabad and nominating Shah Rukh Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhinav Bindra, PV Sindhu, squash player, Dipika Pallikal, among others to lead the cause. Mirza’s effort even earned her an acknowledgement from Modi, who tweeted about Sania’s effort.

Actor Ravi Kishan took to the streets in Patna to show his support of the campaign. Leading a contingent of four hundred people on Exhibition Road, Ravi said, “The Constitution has given us Fundamental Rights, and along with that, Fundamental Duties too. We always enforce our Fundamental Rights but we never try to carry out our Fundamental Duties. I’m supporting the Clean India campaign because just like our Prime Minister’s concern, I too share the vision of a Clean India, Green India.” The campaign has generated a lot of buzz, with pictures of high-profile celebs on a cleaning spree going viral.
