KCR in Yadagirigutta

October 17, 2014 04:09 pm | Updated May 23, 2016 04:16 pm IST - HYDERABAD :

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao visited the pilgrim centre of Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district on Friday to offer prayers at the shrine of Laxminarasimhaswamy.

This is his maiden visit to a pilgrim centre after becoming Chief Minister. He left by a helicopter from Begumpet airport.

Earlier, Tummala Nageswara Rao, TRS leader from Khammam district, met the Chief Minister at his residence. Mr. Nageswara Rao, who recently defected from Telugu Desam, is aspiring for a Ministerial berth though he is not a legislator. His aspiration was fuelled by the lack of representation to Khammam in the State Cabinet.

Sources said the leader rushed to the Chief Minister's camp office on strong rumours on Thursday evening that the Cabinet was likely to be expanded next week. There is scope to induct six more Ministers in the existing Cabinet that was sworn-in on June 2. Barring Khammam and Mahbubnagar, all other districts are represented in the 11-member Cabinet.
