Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Labour Portal Shram Suvidha. He said, labour needs to be given its due respect. The power that Satyamev Jayate has, the same power Shramev Jayate has for the development of our nation.
Lauding the Shramev Jayate Programe launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, M Rafeeque Ahmed, President, FIEO, said that the initiatives announced are very significant for boosting manufacturing in the country and this will supplement the Make In India campaign launched last month.
Filing single tax return to comply with 16 labour laws, provision for single window, self certification, and computerized random selection of units for inspection will add to the ease of doing business which is a basic requisite both for domestic manufacturers and foreign investors.
However, the major hallmark of the programme is the recognition of labour as Rashtrayogi and a Rashtra Nirmaata which will instill the pride in the workers, increase their productivity and further help in the nation building. Appointment of National Brand Ambassadors of Vocational Training and focus on skill development are pragmatic steps as skill gap is affecting both the employability and productivity in manufacturing sector.
These steps will help India to reap rich demographic dividends, said President, FIEO.
