Fifth hub for NSG commandos to be set up at Koba in Gujarat

According to state Home Secretary, Gujarat Dr. SK Nanda a regional center of National Security Guard(NSG) will be set up on 20-25 acre wasteland near Koba in Gandhinagar.
Nanda said the state government will improve the 20 acre land to make a way for construction of a modern training centre.
NSG centre at Koba will have 50 NSG commandos. The place is close to Sardar Patel international airport.
Gandhinagar has presence of large campuses of Army, CRPF and BSF on Chiloda side. As NSG wanted its training center close to airport, the training centre is coming up on the other end of Gandhinagar which is also close to Gujarat Police’s Karai training academy.
NSG had lastly done its operation in Gujarat against terror attack on Akshardham complex of Hindu faith in Gandhinagar.
