Sagar lays foundation of community hall

SRINAGAR, Oct 16: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Ali Mohammad Sagar today said that the Government has undertaken a comprehensive programme for holistic development of the Srinagar city so that the people get quality infrastructural assets and other related things.
The Minister was addressing a large gathering after laying foundation stone of the community hall being constructed at Nowhatta in old city Srinagar by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation. Senior officers of the Corporation and district administration were present on the occasion.
Mr. Sagar said that the Government has undertaken a comprehensive programme of constructing community halls across the State so that the people living in these localities get the requisite facilities for celebrating their social functions. He said in this regard a number of community halls have been constructed in Srinagar city which are having all the requisite facilities.
The Minister said that the Government will take every possible measure to ensure that the adequate rehabilitation of the people who have got affected as a result of the recent deluge. He said, “we have taken every possible step for providing relief to the affected people and have also submitted a comprehensive relief proposal to the Centre for their rehabilitation”.
