Sad. It would have been perfect.

Simone Biles has had enough of bees this year, thank you.

Dressing as a bee for Halloween would be the perfect costume – and might just break the Internet – after one of the persistent little buggers chased Biles off the podium at the gymnastics world championships last week. The video of Biles screaming and running from the bee quickly went viral, with Universal Sports’ clip alone being viewed almost 325,000 times.

Since then, people have been photoshopping Biles’ head on bees and sending her pictures of bee costumes in a not-so-subtle hint for Halloween.

Alas, Biles has other plans. Or, rather, teammate Kyla Ross has other plans.

“Kyla had the good idea to be Ninja Turtles, so that’s what we’re going to do,” Biles, the first woman to win back-to-back all-around titles in 11 years, said Thursday.

It’s perfect, Biles said. It’s timely, with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie coming out earlier this year. They’ve already got colorful costumes picked out, too.

Besides, as Biles so famously said last week, “I don’t do bugs.”
