Gujarat CM to dedicate Rs. 127 crore water supply scheme to Dahod

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will dedicate ambitious Kadana Dam based Dahod city bulk pipeline water supply scheme on Friday in tribal dominated Dahod city. The total cost of this water supply scheme is Rs. 127 crore.

The scheme include 79 km long pipeline network that has been laid between Kadana dam and Dahod city, a pipe base intake well and an approach bridge constructed at the dam site and an underground water tank with the capacity of one crore liter water storage at Hirola as well as two underground water tanks with the capacity of 26 lakh liter water storage at Afwa and Kunda villages. This people oriented scheme will provide clean drinking water to the citizens of Dahod.

The Chief Minister will also inaugurate newly built Limkheda police station constructed at the cost of Rs. 74 lakh, a water purification plant and a municipal pumping station in Dahod. She will release a book on Suraksha Setu scheme on the occasion.

Significantly, the administration is planning to construct a 90 crore- group water supply scheme near Harola sump well based on Kadana-Dahod bulk pipeline project, to provide drinking water to 18 villages and 78 suburbs in the surrounding area in near future.

Guardian minister of Dahod district Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, water supply minister Babubhai Bokhiria, MOS for fisheries Bachubhai Khabad and MP Jashwantsinh Bhabhor will also attend the Dahod administration is all set to make this people oriented functions a grand success under the guidance of guardian secretary Bhagyesh Jha and district collector M.A. Gandhi.
