SEF Dandia on four days to meet huge interest

IMG_3205-webSANTA CLARA: Sankara Eye Foundation (SEF) presented SEF Dandia 2014 on four different days to accommodate the huge interest from the bay area patrons. The first event was on September 20 at the Pleasanton Middle school followed by events on Oct 4, 10 and 11 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, the largest venue in the Bay area. SEF is packing popular music for fun filled evenings with Bay Area’s favorite artists Preetisha & Troupe.

SEF Dandia 2014 is a fundraiser for many SEF projects including the Jodhpur hospital, Rajasthan. The hospital will be 200 bed state-of-the-art eye care hospital and will perform over 20,000 free eye surgeries per year and its location is about 10.8 kms from Jodhpur railway station. With SEF model outreach program, they will be able to service the poor in Jaisalmer, Balmer, Jalor, Pali, Ajmer, Nagaur and Bikanur districts around Jodhpur. Project cost for this hospital is about $4.2 million dollars.

Sankara Eye Foundation is a US based organization registered under Sec 501(c) (3) of the IRS. They operate and manage eight eye care hospitals all over India. Through these fundraising efforts, SEF, USA has played a significant role in increasing the number of free surgeries to over 12,001,22 in 2014. Their mission is to realize the goal of 20/20 vision for the people of India by the year 2020.
