Nandi, the on-stage collage of ten classic plays has been receiving immense response, especially out of Maharashtra.
The play is an on-stage representation of 10 different plays from past 150 years that have been admired by the audience. ‘Nandi’ is not only the compilation of these masterpieces but also an attempt to comment on the socio-political scenario of the country.
‘Nandi’ has been lately staged out of Maharashtra where it has got immense response. The play is on the verge of completing 100 shows and recently had its 84th show in Indore. Talking about the play, actor Prasad Oak said, “We all are elated to see the response to the play. Our shows out of Maharashtra are going houseful and people are turning in good numbers to see this collage of 10 different plays over the century. They are appreciating Sharad Ponkshe as ‘Natasamrat’ and me in a female avatar. We hope to reach the century by early next year.” The actors line-up in 'Nandi' is quite extensive with a lot of big names like Hrishikesh Joshi, Sharad Ponkshe, Seema Desmukh, Ashwini Ekbote, Tejaswini Pandit and Spruha Joshi being part of the starcast.
