American Boo Weekley isheaded to the Gold Coast for the Australian PGA Championship from 11 – 14 December 2014.

"BooA three time PGA Tour winner, Weekley will play in Australia for thefirst time since turning Professional in 1997.

"I have heard great things about Australia and the Gold Coast, I am lookingforward to playing there for the first time," said Weekley, who most recentlywon in 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Invitational.

"Australian golf is renowned around the world so I can’t wait to test my gameon the RACV Royal Pines Resort layout."

A renowned crowd favourite in the US, Weekley is sure to bring some showmanshipto the Australian PGA Championship.

Weekley is famed for riding his driver like a cowboy to celebrate his singleswin at the 2008 Ryder Cup.

The 2014 Australian PGA Championship will be played at RACV Royal Pines Resortfrom Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th December.

The tournament is proudly supported by Tourism and Events Queensland, Gold CoastCity Council, Gold Coast Tourism, RACV Royal Pines Resort, RACV, Emirates, Coca-Cola Amatil, Stella Artois, Amadio Wine, APN Outdoor and Srixonand will be broadcast domestically by the Seven Network.
