MANGALORE: Nagavalli in Chamarajanagar taluk of Chamarajanagar district recorded maximum rainfall of 41.5mm in Karnataka in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on October 15. Marali hobli in Gangavathi taluk of Koppal district recorded maximum temperature of 38.2°C on October 14 at 2pm. Aurad hobli in Gulbarga taluk of Gulbarga district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 15.7°C on October 15 from 3.15am.

The maximum temperature rose at few places over interior Karnataka. However, they fell at few places over coastal Karnataka and changed little over remaining parts of the state. The minimum temperature fell at few places over South interior Karnataka and changed little over remaining parts of the state. More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 52% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 7% geographical area in the state.
Dry weather condition prevailed over the state. Rather heavy rain was recorded in one gram panchayat (GP); moderate rain in 12 GPs; light rain in 13 GPs; very light rain in 18 GPs; and no rain in remaining 1,878 GPs.
Karnataka for the period from October 9 to October 15 recorded deficit rainfall of 32%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 30.6mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 20.7mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on October 15, four geographical regions received 0.1mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 3.9mm, a 97% deficit departure from normal.
