Dileep will share screen space with Suhasini in Sreebala’s next
After Anjali Menon and Revathy S Varma, a new woman director is stepping into Mollywood — Sreebala K Menon.
The associate of director Sathyan Anthikkad, Sreebala is all set to turn an independent filmmaker.
Actor Dileep is a part of her untitled film. “Life repeats itself, my movie will centre round this tagline,” says Sreebala, without letting out the details of the film.
Interestingly, actress Suhasini, who was last seen in Malayalam in Blessy’s Kalimannu, will play a crucial role in this
project.
“It is great to have Dileep and Suhasini on board. Dileep mostly takes up films which revolve around him, but this is going to be a different one with all the characters having equal prominence. He understood the logic behind the story and agreed to do the film, which in itself is a big thing for me,” says Sreebala.
A new face will be cast as Dileep’s pair in the rom-com. Actors Sreenivasan and media personality Sashi Kumar among others will be part of the cast. Sreebala, who worked with Sathyan Anthikkad in his last five films, has written the script and the screenplay of her project.

The award-winning writer-turned-director says, “Cinema is an extension of my writing. The most challenging part of a film is its script. I had always wanted to learn to write scripts for a film. That is how I got into filmmaking.”
So, is this film a part of her literary work? “I took the theme of the film from a short story; I found there is a scope to develop it,” she says.
A major portion of the movie will be shot in Trivandrum.
