BJP gen secy promises ‘stable govt’

Ranchi: BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav on Tuesday said the party would not only sweep the Maharashtra and the Haryana assembly elections but also form a “stable government” in Jharkhand.
Madhav, who attended a BJP party workers’ meet in Ranchi constituency on Tuesday, said Jharkhand, where election is expected in the yearend, would witness the change with BJP government. “Opposition parties have started counting their days.Only few days are left. BJP will win majority (seats) in Jharkhand assembly and form a stable government here,” he said.
The BJP general secretary made discreet remarks when asked about pre-poll alliances but explicitly ruled out naming the party’s chief ministerial candidate before the assembly election. “No decision on CM will be taken unless we consult party workers. BJP will not disappoint anyone (party worker),” said Madhav.
“Don’t worry about pre-poll alliance, prepare to put in exemplary hard work you showed in Lok Sabha polls,” Madhav told party workers but added that BJP had always been a good ally. “In Maharashtra, we are contesting in alliance with smaller parties,” he added.
Madhav — who shared the dais with Ranchi MP Ram Tahal Chaudhary, MLA C P Singh and mayor Asha Lakra at Morhabadi — said people of Jharkhand have “immensely contributed to the formation of the BJP government (at the Centre)”.
