BMW driver Marco Wittmann managed to win the DTM title this year after claiming the “Rookie of the year” award in 2013. It was a spectacular effort from the young German driver that managed to solve the mystery of who will be crowned king this year with two stages to go.
To celebrate the win, and a potential title in the Manufacturer’s Competition, the Bavarians will reveal a special edition package for the F20 1 Series model. It’s going to be called the DTM Sport Edition and it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.
That’s because it won’t be a particular car, wearing some tricked-out parts. No, this ‘special edition’ will include all F20 1 Series models ordered from November 2014 to March 2015 which will be available with the optional M Sport package that will be renamed the ‘DTM Sport Edition’.
Furthermore, those that already ordered a car with the M Sport package before this goes into action, will receive their money back as a token of gratitude from BMW.
To top everything off, a small price drop for the DTM Sport Package is expected, compared to the current M Sport pack.
At the moment, in Germany, the M Sport package costs between €2,800 ($3,552 at today’s exchange rates) for the upper spec models to €3,200 ($4,056) for the entry level ones. That means you can get yourself a BMW 114i with the M Sport package for €25,150 ($31,860).
