The Toyota Innova sold the maximum number in September 2014 in the Indian entry-level Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) segment compared to its rivals Honda Mobilio, Maruti Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia. This is a category across where the number of models and their corresponding sales have been consistently on the rise.

In September 2014, Toyota Kirloskar sold 5,876 Innovas while Maruti Suzuki managed a close second place with 5,672 Ertigas. These two were followed by 5,329 Honda Mobilios, 559 Chevrolet Enjoys and 26 Nissan Evalias. The data shows that Ertiga has catapulted itself closer to the top, ahead of its new competitor, the Mobilio. In August, Honda Mobilio sold more than both Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova.

Apart from the above, new entrants are to be launched soon. While Nissan India has confirmed Datsun Go+ MPV for launch in January 2015, Renault India is working towards launching the Lodgy here next year.

- Available with both petrol and diesel engines.
- Vehicles such as the Maruti Ertiga offer the drivability of a sedan.
- Better mileage.
- Comfortable for long distances. The Innova is a sought after vehicle among fleet owners.
