Marvel will relaunch its "Secret Wars" title written by Jonathan Hickman and drawn by Esad Ribic. Marvel exec Dan Buckley announced the news at the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. exhibit in Times Square at New York Comic-Con.
According to IGN, the plot of the comic will center on a duel between the Avengers and other heroes across the Marvel multi-verse.
"Secret Wars looks to be the endgame of Hickman's ongoing "World Incursion" conflict, as heroes go to war to ensure the survival of their respective worlds."
Promotional artwork for the series features a host of familiar characters as well as some less familiar characters, including Thor, Sam Wilson as Captain America, the Ultimate Universe's Miles Morales, the Superman stand-in Hyperion, Starbrand, Spitfire, American Dream, Darkdevil, Ghost Rider, multiple Daredevils, several Iron Mans, Doctor Zero, St. George and Obnoxio the Clown.
