IFSC workers scoop half a million euro in Lotto win
Six 'first timers' have won €500,000 in the EuroMillions.
The syndicate was playing for the very first time on Friday when their numbers popped up.
The group - Brendan Treacy, Cathal Lorigan, David Byrne, Conor Byrne, David Morris and Cian Brady - work in the IFSC and are all aged in their 20s,
Calling themselves ‘The First Timers Group’, they said they were stunned with the news. They plan to pay off outstanding loans, take holidays and treat family and friends with their winnings.
"It’s the first time I’ve ever looked forward to coming to work on a Monday morning," said Brendan.
The winning €18 Quick Pick ticket was bought in Spar, Gandon House, Custom House Square, Dublin 1.
Meanwhile this Tuesday's EuroMillions jackpot is an estimated €140 million.
