‘Batman V Superman’ Filming With Pink Camera To Support Breast Cancer Awareness
Following what many organizations and individuals do in October, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is showing its support for breast cancer, and what better way to do it than by using a pink camera to film the blockbuster.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is a worldwide effort by several organizations to bring attention to preventing the deadly disease that affects millions of women of all ages every year. Pink is the color associated with the campaign, and you may have noticed millions wearing the girly color to show their support.
Batman v Superman is doing its part, after director Zack Snyder shared a photo on Instagram of the very cool looking Panavision camera the crew is using to film the much awaited sequel. Cinematographer Larry Fong reposted it, as Snyder’s account is private (so he can keep all his secrets, a secret).
“We painted our cameras black for the movie about a year ago and while they were doing that we had them make this pink mag which we’ve been holding for October.”
Batman v Superman has been filming in the Metro-Detroit area — Gotham City — since early summer, and is getting ready to wrap up the production in Michigan. It is expected that the cast and crew will head to the state of Illinois to film in Chicago and the Plano area, as Snyder moves on with Metropolis footage.
There are only a few weeks of filming left in Detroit, and they will apparently take place behind closed doors. According to reports from individuals who have followed the production since the start in the Motor City, Snyder is preparing to shoot scenes on the Michigan State University campus.

Batman v Superman is also said to have rented out the Broad Museum in Detroit for filming a high society event, as reported in this tweet.

The website Henry Cavill Online spotted an announcement that Batman v Superman was looking for about 200 military extras this past weekend.
